Currently not on PDC tour, continue on the exhibition circuit, CEO of the PDPA, TV Pundit & Commentator with ITV/Bravo/SKY Sports/Perform Media
I First became interested in the popular sport of Darts after watching TV Tournaments in the late 80s.
With the popularity gained the top players became household names, so I began playing locally and in short space of time developed from Super League to County status to selection to England, Winning the man of the match award on my debut.
I continued in this frame Internationally until the BDO ban was enforced to all WDC (Now PDC) players in January 1993, just a few weeks after playing in The Embassy World Final, I made over 30 appearances including;
The World Cups In Canada and Holland
The European Cup In England and Finland, along with three other members of the squad, Eric Bristow, John Lowe and Bob Anderson.
My First T.V. appearance was on the popular quiz show "Bullseye" as a contestant, and have was invited back as a celebrity guest six times since, winning the Bronze Bully on one occasion.
During this time I used to travel to tournaments and my second event in 1986, I won my first title "The Isle of Man Open". And to date I have won over 60 titles (see honours). As well as this I have made over 50 TV appearances. My greatest moment was winning The World Grand Prix in 2001, as well as other World Finals (World Matchplay Twice / World Grand Prix Twice / Winmau World Masters / World Cup / World Championships) my other TV event wins came at The British Open, The British Matchplay, The UK Matchplay and The Scottish Masters.
I joined The PDPA (Professional Darts Players Association) in 2004 on the board, I was also the vice chairman up until January 2009 where I was then appointed The CEO.
I also joined the ITV team during The Grand Slam of Darts in 2007, and have remained as part of the team doing the studio pundit and commentry work, this I have also done with Perform Media for the Championship League Darts and also ITV4 for The Players Championships Final and European Championships.
