I
First became interested in the popular sport of Darts after I
saw T.V. Tournaments in the late 80s.
With the popularity gained, the top players became household names,
so I began playing locally, and in short space of time developed
from super league to county status to selection to England, Winning
the man of the match award on my debut.
I have continued in this frame Internationally and I have made
over 30 appearances.
This includes:
The World Cup In Canada
The World Cup In Holland
European Cup In England
European Cup In Finland
Along with three other members of the squad, Eric Bristow, John
Lowe
and Bob Anderson.
My First T.V. appearance was on the popular quiz show "Bullseye"
as a contestant, and have been invited back as a celebrity guest
six times since, winning the Bronze Bully on one occasion.
During this time I used to travel to tournaments and in 1986,
won my first title "The Isle of Man Open". And to date I have
won over 60 titles (see honours). As well as this I have made
over 50 T.V. appearances and I have been quoted as being the new
and exiting future of darts creating a new image, and always professional,
culminating at present a high profile because of T.V. and media
attention, and due to coverage by sky and management of Mr Barry
Hearn, the future appears to be very good for the popular sport
of darts.
